Pitt Farm is a traditional 17th century farmhouse surrounded by stunning countryside on the edge of the Exmoor National Park.
The comfortable, self-contained wing of the farmhouse includes: Kitchen/dining room with Aga, conventional cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge, TV and video, highchair available. Sitting room with inglenook fireplace, woodburner, Electric, full C/H, logs included. Upstairs there are 2 large Bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin room, cot available. Duvets with linen are included. Bathroom/WC. Please bring own towels.
Outside is a cobbled terrace leading to flower gardens where there are various seating areas for guests to relax and unwind.
Children and adults are welcome to go out into the paddocks to collect the chicken eggs or bottle feed the tame lambs. If you fancy a stroll, several Public Footpaths lead away from the Farm into the surrounding countryside and our Labrador is always a willing participant for those who want the extra company.
The picturesque village of Skilgate is on the edge of Exmoor National Park and within walking distance of Wimbleball Lake and the heather clad moorland of Haddon Hill where red deer and Exmoor ponies roam freely. Pitt Farm occupies a South facing position tucked away down a short drive on the edge of the village of Skilgate.
Pubs and Restaurants can be found at Dulverton, which is a scenic 5 mile drive. The North and South Coasts are 20 and 50 minutes drive respectively.
For other days out, the National Trust castle at medieval Dunster, Lynton and Lynmouth, Tarr Steps and the West Somerset Steam Railway are amongst many nearby attractions.
Our local pub, the Lowtrow Cross is just over a mile away and serves excellent food, pre-booking is advised.
